Custom Injection Molding Service

It is pre-production part that we are making for the USA company named Intact Idea LLC. /Flair espresso, who designs , develops , manufactures and market level espresso makers.

It is accessory part for people mannully press the coffee, it is a plastic part injection molded by PC material with grey powder. It is a food safe material also. It is a part that can be easily taken out when people is out for the tour or short journey. It can bear boiling water temperature and keep the function well.

Here are the details you may want to know for the part

1. Material : Polycarbonate(PC), it is a very hard material that can bear strong force but keep its property. Polycarbonate maintains a toughness value between -20°C to 140°C. They are virtually unbreakable. So compare with metal part, It is a suitable material to choose.

2. Mold steel: to inject this material, we normally choose the NAK80 mold steel, coz the material is harder, so also need the harder steel to maintain the mold lifetime longer. And also for the NAK80 steel, it also can be polished to be shiny surface if you required.

3. Process: this can has a thread at the sideband also, coz there will be a air gauge fitment with thread. So we also apply the automotive thread off device when the part is finished injection molding and then the thread will be automatically created.

4. Precision accurance: even the part is quite thicker on the flanges, but we use the Sumitomo (Japan) machines to control whatever cosmetic or dimension stable.

5. Surface treatment: we can apply several textures on the surface to avoid the obvious scratch line when view, but the more rough texture will lead may be drag issue when mold open.

6. Since the part has a continuous demand, so we apply the hot runner on the mold, this can save many runner material, so it is a point for the cost saving

7. Color: we can customize the color as what you want
